Men's Team-Entry
Each week, this league will have three or four draws, at 6:45 pm and 9:00 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. Teams play in
three or four divisions, with teams re-ranked after a round-robin series has been played. Depending on the number of teams in
the league, three or four series are played over the season, followed by playoff rounds to determine season champions.
Women's Social
Each week, this single-draw league will play at 7:30 pm on Tuesdays. Participants are rated for position and teams
are randomly created for a seven-week cycle of games. The convenor's goal is to create balanced teams for each series. Three
series are conducted over the course of the season in this league. Since the emphasis is on sociability, monthly these ladies
have 'Snack Nights' as part of their apres-curl.
Mixed Social
Every hump-day [aka Wednesday], this one-draw league plays at 6:45 pm. Participants are rated by position by experience
and skill ... and their desire to have some fun! Three series are conducted over the course of this league's season. With
its focus on sociability, this league convenor's goal is to create evenly-balanced teams for each series for 'anyone-might-win' contests.
Teams are reshuffled every seven weeks so new folks are met and new comaraderies are developed.
Wednesday Open Team-Entry
Called 'Wide Open Wednesdays', this spirited 9:00 pm league has "are you havin' a good time" as its mantra. With the work-week more
than half over, on-ice rivalries end when it's hand-shake time and the winners are buying the beverages! This league plays
as many series as it can -- followed by a playdown schedule for bragging rights. Team names are must in this league.
Open Team-Entry Leagues
- Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday -
The new Tuesday league will start at 9:00 pm, after the Women's Social League. The new Thursday league will have a 9:00 pm start time.
And the Sunday evening league will have a 7:00 pm targeted start time. These leagues, being open, allow for any gender mix of teammates
and all ages. They are great starting places for groups of friends or neighbours who want to curl together. All levels of skill,
from beginner to seasoned player, are welcome to participate --- but these are leagues where having fun is foremost.
Friday Mixed Team-Entry
On Friday nights, for many years, the ACC has offered a team-entry mixed-gender league -- comprised of teams of couples, friends,
daters or individuals. Principally, it is a choose-your-own-team league, with teams having two females and two males in gender-alternated
positions. Additionally, in this league, teams are separated into flights based on their calibre of play ... ideally with
three flights in a ladder-play system. The season concludes with championship playdowns for each flight of ranked teams.

Senior Tag-Draw Play
Each week, Acton's senior curlers participate in our 'Tag-Draw' league -- meaning that teams are made up on the day of play and
individuals put their tag in whatever position and with whomever they wish. The Convenor, though, reserves the right to move tags
around as need arises to get teams balanced with respect to the numbers of players and by calibre of play.
This season,
the ACC offers six draws -- two on each of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Wednesday is a newly open day for play.
Draws are offered at 8:00 am and 10:00 am each day, with members participating on the days and at the times of their own choosing.
The only rule is that participation is guaranteed on a 'first-come' basis.
Tuesday: Little Rocks
Little Rocker are aged from 6 years old to about 10/11 years old ... the upper limit being a function of size/strength, comprehension
and experience. For this league, which focuses on instruction but also offers so 'game play', progression is at the uptake of the
participants. Our start time for the program is 6:00 pm. Duration weekly is about 1-1.5 hours. The number of sheets of ice devoted
to the program depends on sign-up level.
Tuesday: Bantams/Juniors
The ACC has moved this program to Tuesdays. It is for 10/11 to 16 year olds. The program starts at 6:00 pm. Participants will
be categorized based on skill set, experience and learning/ compre-hension ... as may start time. Programs (and start times) are arranged
to best serve the abilities and needs of participants. Duration is up to 1 1/2 hours weekly, and the program is
a combination of instruction and game play.
Sunday Open Team-Entry
This new league has a planned 3:00 pm start time. It's for those who are not early risers and have busy weekday work schedules who
want to want some weekly recreational activity with family members and/or their friends or neighbours. And you still get home for
Sunday dinner!!
