Welcome to our Acton Curling Club website!
We welcome all prospective, new and current members to our website! We hope you will visit our site from time to time to become familiar with our curling club and learn about the various curling leagues we offer, our learn to curl programs, bonspiels and when we will be hosting OCA competitive events at the Acton Curling Club! We also have opportunities for both members and non-members to rent our ice and lounge area to host your own event, curling bonspiel, and/or corporate or charity event!
History
Acton Curling Club has been an active curling club with members from the Town of Acton, Georgetown and surrounding towns and rural areas since 1962. The operation and management of the Acton Curling over the past years has been by a volunteer Board of Directors elected each year from the general membership. We are very proud of our long standing history of being a volunteer managed curling club! One of the very few positions we proudly employ is a full time Ice Technician who takes a great deal of pride and care to provide our curlers with quality and dependable curling ice for their enjoyment. We also employ paid bartenders to serve members and guests their chosen beverage to relax with after a great game of curling while they enjoy some social time with other curling friends in our lounge.
We are also extremely proud to have a long history offering home cooked meals direct from our kitchen prepared by volunteer members. We provide these scrumptious meals during in house bonspiels and while hosting outside curling events. It is worth the drive to Acton for our home cooked meals!
Looking Ahead
We are always progressing forward with new ideas, new leagues, events and improvements to our facility. We have recently completed a full renovation to modernize our curling club lounge and lower level areas. We have implemented the province’s legislated mandate to ensure accessibility to persons with disabilities and to modernize our space for the long term enjoyment of our current membership and our community.
Leagues
At the Acton Curling Club, we offer many opportunities for members of all ages to participate in many various leagues. We offer a youth curling league, a very active and competitive men’s and women’s league, Wednesday and Thursday mixed social and mixed Doubles leagues, Friday night mixed competitive league and an active daytime/senior curling day league. We are very proud to offer for our third year a Special Olympics league held late Sunday afternoons for our Special Olympics Athletes. We are a very active, progressive and vibrant club offering many curling programs seven days a week!

The Acton Curling Club is a strictly member owned and managed facility. Our members work very hard throughout the year to ensure your experience at our club is exceptional! We invite you to come to our club and experience what we have to offer! You will find great leagues, learn to curl programs, both fun and competitive spiels and a great opportunity to meet and socialize with many new and eventual life time friends.
