The Acton Curling Club is proud to offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re young, old or somewhere in-between, we are sure to have a league suitable for you.

Tuesday & Thursday - Daytime Curling
This league has draws on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 am and 10:30 am.
The Day/Senior league is a "Tag-Draw" league - meaning that teams are made up on the day of play. Individuals place their name tag in for position and whomever they wish to curl with. The convenor reserves the right to balance the teams with respect to the numbers of players and caliber.
Members can play on the days that best suits their schedule. Participation is on a 'first-come' basis. This league is open to Adult Membership (age 18+) only.
Wednesday Daytime - Mixed Doubles
Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Doubles curling, also known as mixed doubles curling, is a fast paced game where the majority of play is to the center of the house. The first few rocks are crucial as you want to be the first to get to the button. Why is it called doubles curling you ask? Because a team is comprised of only two people, one female and one male. You can create your own team, or register as an individual. Individuals will be assigned to a team with a partner shuffle occurring 4 times per season. This league is open to Adult (age 18+) curlers only.
This league is played using Modified Rules:
- No sweeping prior to the delivered rock crossing the hogline at the receiving end
- Take outs begin with the 2nd rock of team that has hammer (4th rock overall)
- Team that has hammer, places rock just behind button.
- Team that doesn't have hammer places rock mid-way between house and hog line.
- Both players on a team throw three rocks each per end.
This league is open to Adult membership (age 18+) only.
Monday - Men's
Monday, draws at 6:45 pm & 9:00 pm on a rotating basis.
The Men's League is one of our more competitive leagues without sacrificing recreational enjoyment and friendship. You can register as an individual or as part of a team. The year starts with a round-robin, and then splits into two flights based upon results. The winners of flights are recognized at year-end. Everyone on the team must register before the cap is met, or an alternate may be assigned.
The number of curlers will be capped to ensure we have two full draws, with no more than two team bye weeks (refers to a scheduled off week for a given team(s). This means the Men's league will only ever play on a Monday evening, either at 6:45 p.m. or 9 p.m. (alternating).
This league is open to Adult membership (age 18+) only.
Tuesday - Ladies
Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
The Ladies League is one of our more competitive leagues without sacrificing recreational enjoyment and friendship. This is a choose-your-own team league. The year starts with a round-robin, and then splits into two flights based upon results. The winners of flights are recognized at year-end. We are limiting this league to one full draw with two bye teams. Everyone on the team must register before the cap is met, or an alternate may be assigned.
The number of curlers will be capped to ensure we have one full draw, with no more than two team bye weeks, which means the Ladies league will only ever play on a Tuesday evening.
This league is open to Adult membership (age 18+) only.
Wednesday - Mixed Social
Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
It has a great mix of seasoned, intermediate, and novice curlers with the more experienced curlers providing guidance and coaching, if required. This social league is focused on fun! Members can join as a team or individual. The teams are shuffled occasionally to provide you an opportunity to try different positions and meet new players.
Thursday - Mixed Social
Thursday at 6:45 pm.
It has a great mix of seasoned, intermediate, and novice curlers with the more experienced curlers providing guidance and coaching, if required. The focus of this league is to have fun along with some good natured competition. The teams are shuffled three times a season to provide you an opportunity to try different positions and meet new players.
Friday - Mixed
Alternating between 6:45 pm and 9:00 pm.
This mixed league is comprised of two females and two males in gender-alternated positions. Register as an individual, part of a couple or as a team. Game times rotate between 6:45 pm and 9:00 pm. The season concludes with championship playdowns for each flight of ranked teams. This league has players of all calibres and closes the busy work week off with fun and occasional theme nights. Those looking to join a team are assisted to find the best match. This league is open to Adult membership (age 18+) only.
Tuesday - Juniors League
Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
This league is for youth ages 13 to 17. Members are categorized based on skill set, experience and learning/comprehension and arranged to best serve the abilities and needs of participants. This league focuses on having fun and is a good combination of instruction and game play. Older/more experienced curlers are encouraged to mentor younger/less experienced curlers.
Wednesday - Little Rocks
Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
This league is for youth ages 6 to 12. Members are categorized based on skill set, experience and learning/comprehension and arranged to best serve the abilities and needs of participants. This league focuses on having fun and is a good combination of instruction and game play.
Curling Canada mandates that helmets be worn by anyone under the age of 12. CSA-approved Helmets for use on ice are strongly recommended.
Special Olympics
Athletes 8 and older, with an intellectual disability, are eligible to participate.
This is a great way to meet new people, have fun, develop skills and compete.
PRACTICES: Sunday's from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate
